Florida Insurance Company Prices IPO Below Expected Range

Orion180 Insurance raised $240 million in its U.S. initial public offering, pricing 20 million shares at $12 each, below the previously expected range of $15 to $17 per share, according to Reuters.

The Melbourne, Florida-based company specializes in excess and surplus lines homeowners insurance, serving customers across 14 U.S. states, including major markets such as Texas, California and Florida.

Insurance IPO Market Under Focus

Orion180's IPO comes during a period of increased attention on the U.S. IPO market. Volatile financial markets, interest-rate uncertainty and rising bond yields have influenced investor sentiment toward newly listed companies.

The company was founded in 2018 and has expanded its insurance operations in recent years. Its business focuses on property coverage in areas where traditional insurance providers may have more limited offerings.

Orion180 Begins Nasdaq Trading

Orion180 is scheduled to trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker OIG. RBC Capital Markets, UBS and Raymond James are serving as lead underwriters for the offering.

The IPO also comes as other insurance companies explore public listings, highlighting continued interest in the U.S. insurance sector despite a more cautious environment for new stock offerings.
