President Donald Trump began a 32-day campaign tour on Thursday, traveling to Texas and Oklahoma as the 2026 U.S. midterm elections enter their final weeks.

Trump's first stops include Texas and Oklahoma, where he is campaigning alongside Republican candidates and promoting his administration's policies ahead of the November 3 elections.

In Texas, Trump is expected to appear with Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton near Dallas. Texas is one of the states with a competitive Senate race this election cycle.

Trump's campaign appearances come as candidates in both parties focus on issues including the economy, energy costs, trade, foreign policy and congressional control. Reuters reported that some Republican candidates have welcomed Trump's campaign involvement, while others have sought to emphasize their own positions on issues important to their states.

Trump is also expected to highlight his administration's tariff and trade policies during a visit to a Peterbilt facility in Denton, Texas. The White House has linked the policies to job growth at manufacturing facilities.

The campaign tour will continue across several states during the weeks leading up to Election Day, putting the president's political activity at the center of the final stage of the 2026 congressional campaign.
