NEW YORK — U.S. stocks recovered on Friday after a difficult week, but investors remain cautious as Treasury yields and oil prices continue to rise.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained about 1%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq each advanced around 0.4%. Despite the rebound, all three major indexes finished the week lower, reflecting continued concerns about borrowing costs and geopolitical uncertainty.

Oil prices have also climbed, with Brent crude posting a weekly increase of more than 6%. Higher energy costs could put additional pressure on businesses and consumers if the trend continues.

Investors are now turning their attention to Nvidia's upcoming earnings, U.S. inflation data and Federal Reserve policy signals. The combination of strong corporate earnings and economic uncertainty is creating a complicated environment for Wall Street.

For American businesses, the key issue is whether resilient demand and corporate profits can continue to offset higher financing and energy costs.
