Actor and director Justin Baldoni has publicly addressed the aftermath of the high-profile legal dispute surrounding It Ends With Us, sharing an emotional message focused on gratitude, healing, and family. The video marks his first public remarks since the controversy involving co-star Blake Lively gained international attention.
In the nearly five-minute video, Baldoni reflected on the difficult period without directly mentioning Lively, the film, or the legal proceedings. Instead, he emphasized the importance of staying grounded during challenging times.
“Gratitude has saved us,” Baldoni said, adding that he and his family chose not to contribute to the public debate and instead allowed the legal process to take its course.
His wife, Emily Baldoni, also appeared in the video, saying the family had experienced both pain and gratitude over the past several years. She noted that while they had endured significant hardships, they were now focused on healing and spending time with their children.
The legal dispute began after Blake Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during the production of It Ends With Us. She also alleged that Baldoni's production company, Wayfarer Studios, retaliated against her after she raised concerns about misconduct on set. Baldoni consistently denied all allegations.
Earlier this year, U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed several of Lively's claims, including harassment, defamation, and conspiracy, while allowing claims related to breach of contract and retaliation to proceed. Before the scheduled trial, both parties reached a settlement in May, bringing the dispute to an end.
The legal battle also included a countersuit filed by Baldoni against Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. That lawsuit was later dismissed, although litigation related to attorneys' fees and damages remains ongoing.
Since the controversy began, Baldoni has largely stayed out of the public spotlight, communicating mainly through his legal team. Reports indicate he has relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, with his family and has not announced any new acting or directing projects.
Closing the video, Baldoni expressed heartfelt appreciation to supporters who stood by his family throughout the ordeal.
