President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have reportedly signed an agreement aimed at ending the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports, reopening the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, and launching a 60-day period of nuclear negotiations, according to a senior U.S. official. The document was signed on behalf of Iran by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Despite the announcement, the full text of the agreement has not yet been made public. Trump indicated that the document is expected to be released following an official signing ceremony. Several important aspects of the deal remain unclear, with Washington and Tehran offering different interpretations of key provisions. One notable point of disagreement concerns the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran has suggested it may collect certain transit fees, while Trump stated the waterway would reopen without tolls.

The agreement has also drawn attention from Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, commenting publicly for the first time, acknowledged that he and Trump “do not always see eye to eye” on regional matters. Meanwhile, hostilities continued between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement, with both sides reporting strikes in southern Lebanon.
